SHORT BIO
The Mighty Wraith spring from the heavy metal heartland of Birmingham and the Black Country, with their imposing brand of galloping riffs, melodic leads and powerful vocals displaying a reverence for bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, but they have built their name based on an intense and engaging live show which resonates with an energy and identity all of their own making.
Years of hard work gigging around the Midlands metal scene culminated in an opportunity to perform at Bloodstock Open Air in 2015, the prize for a successful Metal to the Masses campaign showcasing songs from 2014 debut album The Awakening. Two EPs followed in 2017, including the band's debut music video for the Outcast EP's title track. The second EP, Dragonheart, featured brand new song Conviction alongside reimagined versions of songs from The Awakening, demonstrating the evolution of the band's sound following the addition of bass player and backing vocalist Chis Musgrove. The end of 2017 saw The Mighty Wraith host their own festival, Wraith Fest, in Birmingham at Mama Roux's, and recruit second guitarist Jamie Williams to the fold.
